Todd Sattersten - Publisher
Todd started his career in book publishing at 800ceoread, the country’s largest business book retailer (now Porchlight Books). He learned everything he could about the industry in his six years, serving as CEO the last year.
He participated in hundreds of book launches with authors all over the country. Todd co-wrote, with Jack Covert and Sally Haldorson, The 100 Best Business Books of All Time, which was published by Portfolio/Penguin in 2009. Now in its third edition and with twelve translations, The 100 Best continues to be the definitive resource about business books.
Todd moved to Portland in 2010 and started the next phase of his career in business books. He built a literary scouting business from working with business book publishers in countries from Brazil to Russia. He agented books, edited books, and hosted workshops for authors.
In 2013, he helped found IT Revolution with Gene Kim, where they built a technology book press, a speaking practice for Gene and an international events business. The lead title, The Phoenix Project, is an industry defining title and has sold over 500,000 copies.
Todd joined Bard Press in 2019 as deputy publisher, and became publisher in July 2020. His first book with Bard Press, The Gift of Struggle: Life Changing Lessons About Leading by Bobby Herrera, became a national bestseller and has won five book awards.

Amy Buckley - Managing Editor
Amy joined Bard Press in 2024 after successfully running her own business for 7 years.
She brings a wide variety of professional experience with her including customer service, marketing, and international project management. Before she became an entrepreneur, Amy spent 11 years at General Electric working in manufacturing, product management, Six Sigma quality, and supply chain logistics. Her role at Bard Press utilizes this breadth of experience to complete any type of project we, or our authors, need help accomplishing. Amy also has experience in publishing. She helped Todd self-publish his first book in 2005 and, in 2021, she self-published her own ebook!
Amy has lived in Portland, Oregon, for over a decade and is still in awe of all the trees that grow in the Pacific Northwest.
